The home was built in 2000, as our retirement home. We moved here from Northwest Arkansas to escape the hustle and bustle, including heavy motor traffic.

We chose a property that had many of the amenities of NW Arkansas, but removed from the fast pace of life there. The surrounding area is filled with nature wildlife, and natural country side beauty.

The property has a huge spring near the house with a concrete dam and spillway from our man made spring pond. Dr. Van Brahana, Geologist, University of Arkansas along with a water quality professor inspected the spring in 2002. The flow rate at that time was estimated to be over 1,000 gallons per minute.

The property has other springs creating a small spring creek that flows through the property. We have open hay meadows and an excellent amount of mature White Oak, Ash, Hickory, and Walnut trees. The property has an abundant amount of Whitetail deer, and other wildlife, including Wild Turkey. Bald Eagles arrive in large numbers in mid-November and stay throughout the winter months. A number stay throughout the year, but most depart about March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day.

We have excellent access to the property. Highway 76 traveling west of Cassville, Missouri, then paved county roads, then a full length concrete drive and a beautifully architecturally designed weathered steel bridge crossing over the spring fed creek and to the oversized 30’ by 30’ triple car, attached garage.

The home is smoke, child, and pet free. It has been updated and maintained like new, just receiving a new roof in August 2024, all new plumbing, fixtures, shower, Pex pipe and fittings. The home has it’s own public water supply and tap. Other taps have been placed along the quarter mile length of paved road frontage. The entry is specially designed Ranch style with a private remote controlled professional designed double swing gate. The property is very secure. Several electronic cameras are in place to announce any moving activity by people at the gate, animals, cars, etc. The home was built by one of the top building contractors in the area. The property has been newly surveyed in 2023.

We don’t want to leave, but our age dictates that the time has come for us to return to the Bentonville, NW Arkansas home area. We retired 25 years ago and this has been the best 25 years of our lives. The setting, the house, the upscale shop building, and the refurbished 125 year old barn, still with the antiqued corn Sheller, inside roof antique mounted hay fork, bunkhouse that sleeps six, and 8 run chain link heated dog kennel has made this a total paradise. Only 12 minutes from downtown shopping and super Walmart. No waiting in line at the Revenue office and you will most likely be called by your first name. Almost like going back in time.
